The first meeting of the Nevada Patriot Group will take place at PT's Pub on 1651 E Sunset Rd on Wednesday May 28th at 7 p.m. I understand everyone is probably very busy with all the volunteer obligations they've committed themselves to already, but this meeting will be a very short.
I see our primary niche to be one of passing legislation and amending the Nevada Constitution through the ballot initiative process.
I would also like to coordinate with groups like the Nevada Liberty Alliance and the various candidates that Ron Paul supporters are assisting this election cycle. We will need their help in collecting signatures for the initiatives.
Time has already run out on initiatives that seek to amend the Nevada Constitution, but we have until November to collect signatures for any statutory amendment that we want.
It is my hope that on Wednesday we will be able to discuss which statutory initiatives that our group can push to include on the ballot this November. Please bring your ideas, but remember that the initiatives will have to be simple, clear, and concise. Also, due to the single subject rule we will have greater success if we narrow the scope of each initative as tightly as possible to one subject.
The ballot initiative process is a great way for individuals to influence the government, and it is my hope you will join us not only for this first MeetUp meeting, but for the rest of the meetings in the years to come.
If you have any questions please call me at 702-371-5387, or e-mail me at jason@corp-bmsh.com.

P.S. I understand that most of this MeetUp's members may have RSVPed months ago, and some may be unlikely to attend this event for that reason. Please don't worry about that. You won't be excluded from the decision-making process. We'll post each proposed initiative on the MeetUp, and everyone who did not attend can vote for their favorite one.
