If you've never been to a Tea Party or a protest before, here's your chance.

The current congress and administration is trying to force a government takeover of nearly 20% of the U.S. Economy - healthcare. Amendments prohibiting forced funding of abortion have ALL failed in committee. The AP even finally broke the story last week that it's clear - the abortion mandate in the healthcare "reform" bill is major. Every community will be forced to provide abortion-on-demand services, taxpayer-funded abortion, as a "minimum standard of care." It will repeal all the conscience protections for medical workers who refuse to participate in abortion "procedures." Every restriction on abortion in any state law will be repealed - parental notification, partial-birth abortion bans, every one.

If you don't have any other reason to come out and protest this massive government takeover, then come because it's not right for the federal government to force abortion on every community, regardless of their previously-passed legal restrictions, and it's wrong to force taxpayers to fund them.

Bring your signs and some friends. Stop by after work.
It's only an hour or two. There will be good speakers, some music, food and beverage and tea party gear for purchase.

Please come, and RSVP.
If you are available to staff a table for the pro-life groups, email me.

Great crowd. Could have had more vendors, and more food.

    •  Abortion is so central to moral issues and certainly should not be government funded. It's great to have an event to bring attention to this issue. Could have had more vendors, and more food.
    •  It was very exciting and motivating to see people at the Tea party speaking out peacefully against the government bailouts and out of control spending that is costing taxpayers dearly. President Obama's health insurance plan must not be passed to prevent a government overtaking of the people and a socialistic society for Americans.
